I Love Aziz Ansari (how comedy helps veganism)

A lot of times when we think of veganism, we think of sad footage of animals being slaughtered that makes us cry and feel hopeless for humanity. And while there is certainly a place for that scary footage, there's another way for people to bond together, feel hope, and fight against animal cruelty. We can use comedy to fight for animal rights.
Aziz Ansari has been my favorite comedian since I saw him live one year ago (thanks Jasmine), because he understands the power of his words, even if they are "just" for laughs. He understands that you can discuss sensitive issues-- it only depends on who or what you are laughing at. Aziz gets how to make fun of the oppressor. He gets how being funny aids in not looking "pushy". He just GETS IT. Just watch:
And honestly, I have no idea if Aziz is vegan, but I don't care. He has planted so many seeds by using his stand up time to discuss this. Every person who has heard him make that joke now has a thought planted in their mind: the idea that animal agriculture is bad.
As a side note, this reminds me of a page I follow on facebook, Vegan Humor. If you want to follow, you can do so here. And here's a few memes because why not.
